I have been looking at some C5s lately, and have been noticing that many seem to have a noticeable color difference in the front and rear bumper sections. Some are more noticeable than others, and every owner swears that the car was never hit. I really didn’t pay attention until I was actually looking to buy one,.

Is this a known major issue? Or just the usual problem with painting the different plastic surfaces?

Sorry I can't help you with your question but wanted to say nice pics.
Was thinking of getting a digital camera and am wondering what you used.
TIA

Not unusual - the bumper covers (fascias) are painted at the supplier that molds them, with a different "flex" paint formulation and bake cycle than the paint used on the body at Bowling Green; maintaining color and gloss match between the Bowling Green-painted body and the supplier-painted fascias is a continuing challenge - always has been, always will be.
