My cars are White. One's Pearl White. the other's Arctic White. White is supposed to be the abscence of color. I realize I am in the minority here because I've checked the numbers. My 2 cents.

Gentlemen,
Check out THIS THREAD for a discussion about Color Theory and what it may say about Corvette owners.

Response to Colors: White

White. I never have thought of myself as an iconoclast. I am an only child maybe I was the center of attention of course you are when you are the only one there but I was imprinted on a white 1967 427 Corvette at Casey Chevrolet when I was 19. I had driven my first one at 17 and was with the owner of a 327/350 Red convertible when we hit a ditch at about 100. The driver of the car was the Chevy dealership's owner and I spent most of my time there after school until I actually got a job of my own and left town. Gosh, sounds like I'm calling attention to myself.

I too have a white corvette obviously in the minority, The onlly other color I would have gone for is the spiral grey. Too each his own of course, but the white for me when it is clean and pollished is outstanding.

Actually, black is not all colors, rather it reflects no light.

Sharon is correct- black is the absence of light, and therefore the absence of color. That's why black is regarded as such a mysterious color- it's murky depths are hard to discern, perhaps even a bit intimidating. :D

White the presence of light and all colors which comprise it. White can almost be considered a pure color, to the point of being sterilized and antiseptic. After all, what color are doctor's coats? Again, go back and read my thread on Color Theory- there's some interesting observations about both black and white in that thread.

White looks so sanitary when cleaned up. Emblems stand out on a white car as do taillights. And chrome wheels or other items look their best when contrasted against white paint.
And not to open a can of worms, but I feel the contrast of Torch Red interior on an Arctic White C5 is inexplicably BEAUTIFUL!!
You either get this or you don't.
I had a friend who turned me on to white cars with red interiors about 30 years ago. He ONLY owned white/red cars. At first, I didn't see the beauty in this but then, one day, it hit me like a ton of bricks. From that point on, I got it and have owned a ton of white cars, many of them with red interior. We currently own three white cars; the Corvette, a Cadillac and a Lumina.:upthumbs
