We represent an Illinois resident who has serious concerns about the steering column lock problem. Our client is a Corvette enthusiast who has driven Corvettes for over a decade. Late last year, we filed a class action in Illinois on behalf of our client and all other persons who purchased or leased Corvettes with model years between 1997 and 2002. General Motors has denied the allegations.

We are currently seeking information from Corvette drivers who have experienced a steering column lock problem. If you have any information concerning the problem, or you are otherwise interested in this case, please send an e-mail to DELETED. Please include your name, daytime phone number, the model year of your Corvette, and an address so that we can follow-up on your message.

Please note that we do not intend to provide legal advice, and that we are Illinois lawyers who may not be licensed to practice in your state.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Michael I. Behn, Esq.
Futterman & Howard, Chtd.

Michael,

Allow me to be blunt right up front here. I don't appreciate you registering on these forums to solicit my members for information that could be used in a court of law without my consent.

As far as I'm concerned, it is spam. If you have issues with the Corvette Column Lock Bypass system, I encourage you to contact General Motors Corporation.

The NHTSA is currently looking into the issue of the Corvette's Column Lock Bypass system and depending upon what the results of the investigation are, I'm confident that GM will take appropriate action to meet the needs of their customers if necessary.

If you want information on the system, contact GM, the NHTSA or Chevrolet dealerships, but don't come here with your solicitation.
