The warranty for my 2001 C5 is coming to an end soon. I have fixed the Fuel Guage problem last year. Recently my right window failed to roll down, and right door lock failed to unlock intermittently. I got that fixed last week. The dealer said the window problem was quite commom. It makes me wonder how many of these "common time bombs" will strike me in the first few years. My 2001 C5 only has less than 12K miles on it and I baby it all the time. Can some experienced souls tell me what may go down next so I can get it fixed before my warranty runs out? Thanks.

jchen,

Check the knowledgebase area in the "Tech Tab" above. You will be amazed at the number of TSB's issued by Chevrolet for the various year C5's. There are a lot of common problems that took Chevrolet many model years to correct. Good luck.

Hi
My experience is
Rolling seat
fuel gauge first time changed and second time I think they reprogrammed the unit
Remote control receiving unit situated near the left back reel (antena rosted)
polished reels rosted
noisy fuel pomp
dash board light modulator defective
intake manifold whistlering
I'm either anxious I almost out off warranty
C5 conv 2001 24Kmiles

I forgot the right side differential oil leak !
I'm very picky like most of you I think but is my car a lemon is it very common or I'm unlucky at all

it is not any larger than any other car.

unfortunetly or fortunetly depending on how you look at it automobiles built by all manufacturers is an ongoing process...in the fact that bugs, refinements and procedures are always updated and for any car owner this (to me anyway) is a good thing.

no time soon will we a see a mass produced vehicle that does not have this exact same thing. actual service use by us the consumers will always uncover items that need to be addressed in one way or another.

me i am more concerned with "stops and holds" on cars once they hit the lots as we have had with a few launches (2002 trailblazer-envoy/ 2004 aveo/2004 express vans, etc)

2001 C5 Problems: Check your emergency brake

My emergency brake broke prior to the warranty expiration. Dealer repaired what would have been a $500 problem.
