Hello, I'm a new member here and I was wondering how the C4 compares to the 3.4L and 3.8L V6 4th gen Camaros performance wise. Thanks :)

Oh by the way, my name is Todd and I'm from Arkansas.

Todd,

There just is no comparison. I think it's safe to say that the Corvette is superior in each and every single way. Don't get me wrong, the 4th gen V6 Camaro's are nice cars but it's not fair to compare them to a Corvette.

The Corvette has more power, is more comfortable and just does everything better in general.

My sister has a 1997 convertable camaro it is a nice car, she wanted to race me so we found a long road about as safe as it could be with out being on a race track. I blew it away, no question no chance, no prayer. I was in the 94 top down. I am sure that the same results would have happened in the 85. don't get me wrong I like her car, but it is not a vette. Vettes are the best sports cars GM has to offer, the Camero was a Mustang and import killer, and the Corvette is made to beat the supercars, daily......

Ditto the above.
The Vette has more power, better brakes, better handling, more comfort features, etc. than the V6 equipped Camaros.
The Camaro can be a nice ride but it's not a Vette.
If you up the ante to an SS Camaro or IROC with the V8, quarter mile performance matches up in many cases. Handling still goes to the Vette. And, it will still be a Camaro.

I agree. Camero is a very nice car. At one time they were called the poor man's corvette. The 3800 V6 might be able to keep a vette in site if you added the supercharger from a pontiac or Riv. The 89 Riv I had would run 0 to 60 in just a stitch over 7 seconds. and that is a 3700 lb car.The straight 3800 wouldn't stand a chance.
