Out and about today and ran across what appeared to be a '70-'72 Steel Gray Coupe for sale. Talking with the owner revealed that the car was a '73 model titled as a '70 model. The front clip was from a '72, the rear clip was from a '71. VIN tag decoded as a '73 big block coupe, motor was the original '73 454. A car with a lot of "Don't Knows". Owner was asking $20,000 and wanted my opinion. All I could say was it was worth what someone was willing to pay. At least the owner was pretty straight forward with the car's origins but I suspect the DPS would be highly interested in a car with a title that didn't match the VIN.
Buyer beware.
