I am in the process of diagnosing a possible electrical problem. Being new to GM products I don't want to force some electrical connectors the wrong way so I have a couple of questions. Some connectors have a white tab that keeps the connector in place. How do you remove them, do you simply pull them out from under the tab and push back in to replace? How does the pigtail disconnect from the EBCM? It was kind of hard to tell from under the car.

Thanks for any help/advice

Hi there,
There are many different types of connections on c5, however, most are fairly durable.
I would suggest that you expand on what you are dealing with, so we can possibly point you in the right direction.

If you have a digital camera, snap a few pictures. Some connectors can be tricky if you haven't ever messed with them. They have retainers that keep the wiring in the connector in addition to the snap that keeps the connectors together.

I'll try to get some good pictures. The white retainers are what's confusing. The one on the larger connector going to the EBTCM looks similiar to the ones on the coil connections.
