This is the way

# 1 Start by removing the consul

# 2 grind the two small rivets that attach the ash tray knob to it's cover

# 3 Pull the cover out from it's nylon sliders

# 4 Insert new cover in place ( after having lubed the sliders with a bit of Vaseline ) and install the new knob with the supplied screws.

# 5 Re-install consul
