I have a problem with a headlight coming up and the motor keeps running and the only way to make it stop is pull the fuse or disconnect the battery. The other headlight works perfectly fine. The plug right behind the motor has five wires going into it and I tested it and compared to what the other side was doing and slots marked A and B on plug read different from both sides. The side that works has volts (26.3-27.4) both to A and B...C,D,E are 0 while car is off and the side that keeps running only has full power to B volts (26.4-27.1) and the A slot only reads (1.1)...C,D,E are 0.

You need to re-make your readings with the dvm, The C5 has a 12 volt system 13.6 volts nom., voltages over 14 are pretty much impossible without the car running and a severe alternator problem. Do you have a Factory Service Manual? If you plan to repair your own vette, a set of manuals is the most important tool in your box.

sorry I just realized the numbers I posted here are the right readings slots A and B all read 11.7-12.4 except slot A on the side that is messed up it reads .6. I do not have a Factory Service Manual either.
