So, another couple weekends have passed since I have done anything on the Wife's C6. But what I did do was repair a couple annoying issues.
1. The gearshift indicator was not showing the correct gear if any at all.
The resolution was simple using C&S Corvettes 'Automatic Shift Indicator Repair Kit' (CS915)
2. While I had the console all apart, I did replace the gear shift cable bushing on the bottom of the gear shift assembly. NOTE : the existing bushing was a little yellowed in appearance and when I dug into it to remove it, it fell apart in pieces. Thinking this was a problem waiting to happen. Nothing like a little preventative maintenance. The bushing was part of a 2 piece kit From C&S Corvettes Automatic Shifter Cable Repair Kit. (Item CS920) -- I will replace the bushing on the transmission end of the cable the next time I am wandering around under the car!
