Just bought a 04 Corvette convertible, and right now it’s in storage till the weather cooperates here in Minnesota. I have seen pictures of Corvette convertibles that have a windscreen behind the driver & passenger heads with the top down. Now I know what they are suppose do, make the air flow less turbulent. Does anybody have one? And does it really work well?? And a prior thanks for the input……Bill T…

i have one for my 04. works the best when the windows are up BUT it does work/help if down. i think that it looks kinda cool BTW.

I have the "Vette Net" and I think it does a good job (best on the freeway), once you get the correct heigth set. I drilled holes in the mount, which is out of sight, about 1 inch from the bottom edge of the tube which sets it about 2 inches higher than if you used it from the factory. You can put a series of holes about an inch apart to adjust the height to your liking. If you set it to high, wind will come in under the bottom edge.

By the way grads on the new ride........
Good luck :beer :w

I have an o1 conv. with seat hoops so i was unable to purchase the vette net, also at that price 300/400 i was hesitant anyway. I did know that i needed one because there was just to much wind turbulance in the car on those colder days or nights. My solution was to try one of the $40 vinyl deflectors that just connects on the seats in seconds. For $40 it does the trick, also looks just like leather, Granted i tend to only use it at night because it looks better with it off. But I will say for $40 bucks, my night driving is much more comfortabe.

wind barrier

I just purchased one also. Mine is vinyl and slips over the tops of both seats. Sorry, I can't give you a report on it until spring gets here! Brrrrr , its cold here in Ohio !!!

This sounds interesting. Is it proper to ask what is the name of product and where can I see and/or purchase one for trial? You can e-mail me at psimms1@tampabay.rr.com if necessary. Thanks

I've owned several Corvette convertibles over the years. The one thing I've always been impressed with is the low level of wind turbulance in the cockpit when the top is down. Much less than any other convertible I riden in. Call me a traditionalist - but I've never felt the need for one of those rear wind screens.

But Remo-
How much turbulance can you expect with your car parked in a garage? There is much more turbulance when you actually drive the car. :D

Jim - You've got a very good point there. S0 I just went out in the garage and put the top down. And as I stated earlier - there's very little turbulance. Hey were you other guys talking about how much wind you feel when you're "actually" driving it?:L

I agree with you on that. I always felt a Corvette C5 provides just the right amount of turbulence. That is, it doesn't beat you to death when driving with the top down but you definitely get the wind-in-your-hair feeling. That's a combination that's hard to beat!:_rock
