I bought convertible top- frame weather strip at the Carlisle Show, and I am scheduled in about 2 weeks to have a new rag top installed on my '71. I want to redo the weather strip. My question is should I wait till after the new top is on, or should I do it first before the guy installs the new one?

Thanks.

I'd wait and have the top guy install them - he has to adjust and fit the frame and weatherstrips to the glass and the body first before he installs the new top skin anyway.

Wait! Also, when I had my top and weatherstip replaced, I purchased all new stainless steel hardware for attaching the weatherstip. I like the thought of no rust.
