I saw that '67 custom at the Corvette Expo some months ago. The execution was extremely well done. Bring them a C5 and $65K and they will build you one. Because of problems with GM, if you want badges from the old school, you have to install them yourself.

To me, it is a modern '67 in the best sense of the word.

I can't make up my mind on this one...I don't really dislike it, but then something just looks wrong to me about it. Does anyone else, especially from the side view, see lines more from an older camaro than corvette?

I hear ya. I think it's the C5's high waistline and low profile windshield that cause the execution to seem somewhat off. That said, I like it anyhow. - Eric

I like the concept but I think there can be improvement. The rear fenders are too high and bulbous. The corners below the turn signals need to be rounded more and it needs to be a coupe design. I agree with XLR8, given the price for conversion and a C5 I'd rather have the real thing.

I'm with Eric and Charley... it's beautiful... and I DO like it. But... that profile shot just tweaks a nerve for some reason.

It almost looks like a photograph of a topless midyear with a C5 convertible parked just behind it.

What if they made the windshield more vertical and raised the roof line. Even side glass looks too short. Looks to me like a 67 that's been chopped.

Last I looked ..... $25K + $65K = $90,000.

And a "Blue Devil" is supposed to go out of the door for how much?

Sounds like .... (as if I could actually afford this ) ..... I'll wait a few months.

It's like that old joke about girls ... the line .. "I wouldn't toss her out of bed for eating crackers" .... other than the initial problem with getting used to the lines of the windscreen and top, it ain't half bad looking. But when the real deal can be had for less ....

Indeed. I try not to look at it as a repo because it isn't. I think it is those guy's vision of what a '67 made in '07 might look like. And yes, to keep costs down they are stuck with the windshield and basics of the rear end of a C5.

But all in all, it is certainly "acceptable" to me. Now cost is a whole different deal...

Thanks for the side by side...after I've seen it a few times, I don't dislike it, but for the money I agree with some of the previous thoughts, I'd either be shopping for an original, or a brand new Z06 or blue devil or something like that...not that it's going to happen anytime soon anyways! :L I think it's the windshield that I dislike most about it, just doesn't work with the car for me. The rear quarters are what I think remind me most of it being camaro-ish, but I'm cool with those.
