Hello all,
I will be doing dexcool coolant change in my c5 soon and i have a couple of???.my car is an 02.A4 garage queen with 17k mi.the coolant is 9yrs old but when i put a flash light in the coolant tank its still orange and clear.should i flush with distilled water or just drain, refill and burp? also with drain plug in the rad do i remove it to drain or just turn 90 and coolant will flow???
thanks in advance

After 9 years with no coolant change, service is recommended.

Flushing instructions are in the Service Manual.

You can do it yourself, no big deal. I did mine last spring with Dexcool and distilled water and everything went fine with no issues. Should be changed at 5 years no matter the mileage. :thumb

The coolant on my y2k also looks very clean, but it is the first thing getting changed this Spring, just as soon as she comes out of winter hibernation.
