Coolant change ????

Hello all,
I will be doing dexcool coolant change in my c5 soon and i have a couple of???.my car is an 02.A4 garage queen with 17k mi.the coolant is 9yrs old but when i put a flash light in the coolant tank its still orange and clear.should i flush with distilled water or just drain,refill and burp? also with drain plug in the rad do i remove it to drain or just turn 90 and coolant will flow???

After 9 years with no coolant change, service is recommended.

Flushing instructions are in the Service Manual.

You can do it yourself, no big deal. I did mine last spring with Dexcool and distilled water and everything went fine with no issues. Should be changed at 5 years no matter the mileage.

The coolant on my y2k also looks very clean, but it is the first thing getting changed this Spring,just as soon as she comes out of winter hibernation.
