Coolant Flush Question

I'm getting ready to flush out my coolant in the next several weeks and need an opinion on something. When I got the car the coolant was really rusty. Had it flushed it out and it's now been about 2 years so I'm going to do it again. System seems to be relatively clean now.

I'm thinking of putting on one of those Prestone flushing tees and want to know if anyone had done that with their Vette. I use to do it on some of my old cars in the past but want to make sure I'm save with the Vette. I'm also thinking of putting on another tee and backflushing the system (without the car running naturally) to see if this may help my heater core which may be partially plugged because I get heat but not much. I've again done this on some other cars with success but don't want to screw up the Vette if possible.

Anyone done this??

Thanks,

Baldie88

I'm not too much up on the flush tees but this may be of some help. The red Actuator is the Temp Controler. If the door that is attached to the rod is stuck or the Actuator is not working correctly you will only get so much heat and that's it. I have on a .pdf file the complete heater system, how to check doors, electrical and the vacuumn system. If you would like I can e-mail it too ya but I need a private e-mail cause it's too big for here. The heater control also has a self dianogistic system that you can input into it and it tells you what is and what isn't working.

Hope this helps a little :w

magmotor - you've got mail.

Thanks

Ron
