Ok so I got every thing back together yesterday and all was well in the world with the thermostat in and my new gaskets. For some reason now my coolant read out always says low I think I may have spliced the fan swich into the wrong wire. So if anyone could tell me where I should splice that in I would be most greatful.

Are you just trying to turn on the aux fan? If so there is a temp sensor between the 2 and 4 cylinder acouple inches below the exhaust manifold. I think it's a grren wire.

Is this so you can turn the fan on manually? If so, it’s the green/white wire coming off the relay...send it to ground. But to be honest with you, I would 86 the switch and just get the 200/180 sending unit from madvet

Yeah its a 200 185 fan swich and its the main fan.

I beleive The sensor that sends the temp to the dash is on the right bank between cylinders 6 and 8. If this is disconnected your dash coolant reading will always say 'LO'.

The Temp GA sensor is on the front of the block, right below the stat and directly above the water pump--#11. You might have knock the wire loose when replacing the stat. The sensor between the cylnd's controls the fans.
