In the winter with the AC off my cooling Temperature reads 198 to 210 while driving I just wondered if that was normal or what it should be?

This is within the normal temp ranges for your car.

With the AC off, the fans do not turn on until a higher temperature is reached (228 if memory serves), so the cooling is relying on the air flow through the radiator generated by the speed of the car.

GM likes the LT1/LT4/LS1 cars to run hotter than previous generations.

Tuna is correct. The cooling fan kicks on at 228. I know it seems high, but GM designed the LT1 to run at those temps. That is why we use only Mobil 1.:beer
