A few weeks ago, while in stop and go traffic my 92 got HOT 240. I made it home without overheating and THANKS TO CAC checked for Stuff between the rad and condenser. There was a TON of it, cleaned it out and and all was good. Last week I removed the rad, and hosed it out and cleaned it out and replaced all the hoses and rad cap. I noticed that the overflow was filling, so got a new GM cap which seems to fit better.

The car runs great, 190 to 197 on the freeway, now the question, being the annalitical that my wife says I am. I have noticed that even after driving for a wile, there is no pressure built up in the system. The hoses do not seem to be pressurised if you squeese them there is no force pressing back. Am I just driving myself nutts over nothing? I have checked everything, and there is no sign of a leak.

Thanks
Ron

Try squeezing the hoses when it's running. Wear gloves , of course.:Twist
Remember it's a reverse flow system. Does that make a difference?? I've no idea ?

You never know what you might find between the radiator and condensor:) Glad to hear you solved your problem.

no force pressing back

The pressure is not, probably enough for you to feel. The new hoses are quite soft, unlike the old days.

The new cap was a good idea; often overlooked.

Cooling okay; no fluid loss. So, what's the problem?
