I'll be getting the cat back Corsa in a few days & wonder what others on the forum have done.

It'll be on my back w/ the front on ramps & back on jack stands. I've worked under b4 (zf oil change) & it's tight but doable. CA car so rusted nuts won't be an issue.

I'm told the Corsa needs no tweaking at all, it just bolts on, so what do you think?

Thanks.

Corsa

I paid $75. It was good to have it up on the lift. The parts go together very well, but need to be dry fitted before tightening it all up. This is tough rolling around or crawling with small clearance.

If you have the time diy. it isn't bad until you need the umph on the old bolts.

I really want to get the Corsas, but I dont' want to pay someone X hundred bucks to put it in. I don't have 3 jacks or ramps or a lift and none of my friends have 'em either.

Does anyone know how much it costs to have a mechanic do it install of the corsa exhaust? How many hours would it take?

Is there any way to befriend a mechanic so he'll lift my car and I can do the install myself? I'll probably need to use his tools as well...

(late addition: how much does the box weigh? how big is it? how difficult to move?)

Corsa Again

Most shops like Midas or Meineke or tire places can do it. $100 is the going fee.

I took the pieces out of the 2 boxes and put them in the back of my '96 no problem fitting. You can get them shipped to the shop if you have a bud there. It takes an hour on the lift. Recommend a stand-by O2 sensor in case it's stuck forever. My guy had a tool just for that.

Isn't this the same decision we make on most work on the old vette anyway; quick and easy vs. free?

Its easy do it yourself. Otherwise, pay me $100 and I'll do it in your driveway.
