The Corvette Action Center site has moved to a new server. The previous server that the site was on, was getting old and having a hard time keeping up with the increased traffic that we've been seeing. You should now see a much greater speed and response here in the forums.

A couple sections of the site are no longer functional such as the Knowledgebase and the Owner Information Center. The reason for this is that those software packages are extremely old, no longer compatible with the core operating software on the server and the companies that built those software packages either discontinued them a couple years ago, or they went out of business entirely.

As a result, this is forcing us to add a new Knowledgebase and Owner Information Center. This will take a while as we have to purchase the new software, install it, and configure it. There are currently 872 entries/articles in the old Knowledgebase that have to get transferred into the new system - one by one.

SO...please bear with us as we get these new sections up and running and the content moved over.

That was quick!! As always, thank you for your countless hours and dedicated, Rob.

Welcome. Still trying to stamp out some problems.

If anyone runs into any error messages here in the forums - usually at the top of the page - please post them here....

Darn...........did someone put me to sleep while this happened? :D
Seemed like it was transparent to me which usually indicates that there was
a BUNCH of prior planning that went into the move that the majority of us never
saw or knew about!
Thanks for keeping the site (and us) up to date, as well as all of the other
behind the scenes things that you and the staff do. :thumb

Bug report... or two...

1. When I opened a thread, I got a "warning - illegal string offset" at the top of the thread.

2. I did a screen capture but I'm unable to upload the image as the photolink now only allows URL links.

Thanks Mac. I've got to upgrade the forum software to a new release that will fix the error messages.

The forum software has been upgraded, so there shouldn't be any more errors appearing.

Yup, it looks like the error issue is resolved. :)

The photo link still doesn't allow for uploads. Is that going to be a permanent change?

When I go to upload an image, I am only offered the option to add an image from a URL. In the past, if I clicked on the icon in the upper bar, the resulting pop-up offered me the option to add from a URL or to upload an image from my computer.

You don't see Add Files and Select Files?

No, I don't. I will forward a screen cap via email if that is helpful?

Very interesting... In the "Proving Grounds", I was presented with the two option upload pop-up but here, I have the single option pop-up...

I don't know....I see no differences here either...

The only forum where I'm having this issue is the News and Announcement Forum. I've checked other threads on this forum and got the same one-option pop-up. I checked several other forums, including other forums under the Corvette News and Professional Articles subgroup and had the two option pop-up. How bizarre!!

I would say let it ride. So limited in scope, not worth effort to fix.

Maybe I'm wrong... but this seemed like it was a rather glitchless move. Yeah, a few issues here and there- but no day long site outages or massive accessibility problems.

I wish our IT turns at work were this smooth... :chuckle

My original post at the top of page 1 has been updated with more information...

Thanks Rob for all you do in running this website.
