Today, the Corvette Action Center rolled out a special online Registry for the 252 Carbon Limited Edition Corvette Z06 Corvettes built in 2011.

In 2011, General Motors rolled out a special Corvette Z06 Limited Edition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Corvette’s first race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

These special Corvettes were built with a special VIN sequence and came in only Supersonic Blue Metallic, or Inferno Orange metallic paint. The interior of these Z06 Corvettes came with a special ebony leather and suede wrapped interior that consisted of exterior color matched stitching, alcantara seat centers, steering wheel, shift knob and parking brake handle.

Other enhancements included a lightweight carbon fiber hood, an enhanced cooling system and Magnetic Selective Ride control technology.

From the GM official press release:

“For track use, the Z06 Carbon is the best balanced Corvette yet. It combines the lightweight and naturally-aspirated Z06 engine with the road-holding and braking of the ZR1,” said Tadge Juechter, Corvette Chief Engineer. “For technical tracks like Laguna Seca, the Z06 Carbon could shave up to three seconds off the Z06 lap time.”

This limited edition Z06 will boast Brembo carbon ceramic brakes with specific dark gray metallic calipers. These powerful brakes were first introduced on the ZR1. Black 20-spoke 19-inch front/20-inch rear wheels complement the car’s Michelin PS2 tires.

The 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition Registry gives owners and enthusiasts the ability to see exactly how many of these special Corvettes were built with different combinations of options that were available at the time.
