Hi all. :w

I purchased an exhaust plate for my C5 at the Museum this weekend and planned to install it today. When I opened the package I discovered that there were only 3 of the adhesive strips, not 4 as the instructions mentioned. Anyone have any experience with the plates? Are the adhesive strips really good enough to keep it on and will 3 be just as good as 4? If you didn't use the strips, what did you use (or would you use) to attach yours?

Thanks,
Jane Ann

I only used 3 adhesive strips on mine and it worked great. The strips will hold it on with no problem.

I put mine on with 3 strips and it's stayed put for almost 3 years.

Thanks for the info guys. Although anything can happen, it's nice to know that someone else has had good experience with the plates and adhesive strips for an extended period of time.

I'm getting my car detailed this afternoon to clean it after my 1500+ roadtrip over the past week, and I'll install the plate after it's cleaned.

Thanks again.

I ordered mine from Mid America and I think it onlyhad 3 strips also. It's sticking fine at this point. The 3M tape they use is good stuff.

Be sure and clean the area with alcoho pior to installation. Docl
