You could argue that the Corvette is America’s most beloved sports car. Sure there’s the Mustang and Camaro but Corvette usually seems to take the top spot, so it’s no surprise that the National Corvette Museum is planning a multi-million dollar facility for Corvette owners and aficionados to wring their Vettes out on the track.
The proposed venue will be home to (when built) the largest track in the United States, which will be modeled after Le Mans and also feature Nürburgring and Watkins Glen-like features, as well as an Alain Prost go-kart facility and drag strip. Not sure how long the completed multiplex will be but it’s proposed cost of $35 million means that the thrill should be there, at least they’re hoping.
