Corvette is King - Corvette honors itself by building a huge motorsports complex.

You could argue that the Corvette is America’s most beloved sports car. Sure there’s the Mustang and Camaro but Corvette usually seems to take the top spot, so it’s no surprise that the National Corvette Museum is planning a multi-million dollar facility for Corvette owners and aficionados to wring their Vettes out on the track.

The proposed venue will be home to (when built) the largest track in the United States, which will be modeled after Le Mans and also feature Nürburgring and Watkins Glen-like features, as well as an Alain Prost go-kart facility and drag strip. Not sure how long the completed multiplex will be but it’s proposed cost of $35 million means that the thrill should be there, at least they’re hoping.

New Vette Track

Really good to see the Museum and all the support of the Vette that demonstrates the real-world credibility that it has, but I don't see how they can go for a project like this in face of the most vulnerable economy since at LEAST the "great depression". Not sure this is the time to be building a racetrack when the US is right on the edge the way it is.

Of course, maybe we can get Goldman Sachs to finance it!

The National Corvette Museum is being fanancially responsible with this project. They are currently trying to acquire most of the funds before the first shovel goes in the ground. It is quite the undertaking and the facility will be first rate. Corvette Racing and the Team from Pratt and Miller along with Tom Wallace, have provided input into the design of the track.
