Corvette lettering break lights?

I had an idea the other day and I was wonder if anyone has seen this on a Corvette before.

Removing the standard C4 tail (90's style), and putting a ZR-1 style to replace it, without the center retangular break light, and then cutting out the "Corvette" lettering, and placing a red break light behind the letters. I have seen this on some Pontiacs (Sunfires, or something).

I think this would look really cool and function the same as the boring retangular tail light. This would be a real neat feature on new Corvettes.

Any thoughts? Any one seen this before?

On my car

Which has 96 plastic for the tail.

The 3rd brake light is over the Corvette moulded into the rear.

This is for the convertible only.

I've thought the same thing many times John. Some day when I can afford it, that will be one of the mod's I do to my car's body work. IMO it would definately clean up the rear end of the car.

Check out ebay... there is a guy who sells decals to cover the brake light, with Corvette open, so it says corvette when you press the brakes... for a black car it would blend right in, for another car, you may be able to paint it? or just keep it black...
