I've read on another forum that Corvette production records have been found...A guy by the name of Jim Mattison, who is responsible for setting up the Pontiac Historical Service is leading the project to get these records to the public. Is there any truth to this???

This sounds like it could be very valuable info. for those who don't have their tank stickers!

Jim's company, Automotive Services Corporation (parent company of PHS) was contracted by Chevrolet about two years ago to try and "find the records"; I understand he has made some progress, but anything that doesn't come directly from Jim is just rumors at this point. When and if he's ready, he'll let everyone know about it; will be joy for some, and agony for some others.

I understand that the Muscle Car Review issue, spring 2003, has a progress report on how Jim is doing...I'll have to check it out!

Some will be crying their eyes out for sure. However I would love to see the record of my '59's build.

I do not know if you guys follow ebay at all.But on the camaro and chevelle seen I have been watching the prices of the yenko clones going into ranges that I would have thought only a true yenko would go.I Hope these records do surface,I feel when they do the real cars will go thru the roof and then we will have a different market and instead of saying them saying original big block they will start saying a cloned big block.
