Help! Corvette "road feel"?

the problem was vibration in front....as to what problem exactly was, and the fix I don't know. Seems like buyers remorse like Norty said. He had just bought a new C6 coupe. If memory serves he was driving a 3 series BM'er.

I know it was vibration, but I'd like to know what they corrected to fix the vibration. First I ever heard of buyer's remorse with a new Vette, but to each his own.

hey guys, sorry for the tardy response..

No never owned a BMW-- my last sports car before this was a 1997 supra TT auto, and right before that i had an 05 sti ( which to date is my favorite-not for the HP but for the fun, and awd)

I bought the vette without thinking and maybe I wouldve been happier if I bought a GS instead. What really did it for me was the fact that I had a problem from the start and it just turned me off- bringing it back twice to a dealer to get a problem corrected for a car that had under 500 miles..a huge turn off and a lack of confidence in the car you just bought. Given, they balanced the tires in one dealer, then road force balanced them in another-which corrected the problem.

The car itself is perfect now, and I will leave it alone, not touch it , going to wait for the title to come in, sell it or trade it in. Yes the car has only 1300 miles, but my own fault for being trigger happy ;squint:. Ill take a huge hit on it, but I'll learn from my mistakes next time.

Well, I have to admit that's the first time I heard of someone selling a brand new car because of one misbalanced wheel, but it's yours to have or not have. Good luck to you.:thumb Thanks for dropping in.

Crazy targa knocking sound???????????????

Corvettes are not right for everyone.

For many people Corvettes are dream cars that we here appreciate for all that they are... and they are worth accepting with a few superfluous features needing resolution, but seen as problems to some few.

America is the only nation that has developed anything close being as summarily fantastic as the Corvette. Its creation is a product of our liberty and genius for innovation. Few things in this life are perfect, not even any of us, but the Corvette is overall a magnificent reflection of America and it is, therefore, a great car. :pat:pat:pat:w:w:w

Hey pete, you are correct, thats why I went back to American cars in support of our economy and our great nation, and trust me , its def not about the money here. It was just the hassle and bad luck that I usually get when I get an American car, hence i stepped up and went for a vette. Granted not a z06 or zr1, just a basic vette to see how I like them. I love the power, seats are comfortable, looks are decent, warranty is amazing, the dealer treats you a bit better than a regular dealership. Just this BS I had to deal with with a car that is new. I wouldnt have minded if maybe i had 5k miles. but, 500 miles LOL come on now! You start to worry..if this happened now, what's next?:ugh

OK, we get it. You are disappointed. Time to find your perfect car and dealer.

I was one who said BMW....did not remember...knew it was NOT American...sorry for incorrect info...and remember I said in one of the earlier posts....try not to blame the car, it will only make you unhappy. Maybe if that dealer had done the fix the first time....anyway, to each is his own....sorry you don't like Vettes....I would think your in a minority situation (which is O.K.) I suppose being on this site makes us prejudiced towards etc...etc.......good luck with what ever you decide....tim

Most likely nothing. After getting the initial bugs are worked out if it, you want to sell it and start all over again with another vehicle? Remember foreign or domestic, no car is perfect, they will all have problems at one time or another. Good luck with your sale. Wish it was a black 6spd convertible, I'd probably make you an offer.....

hey llc , i hope you are right, i took it out for about an hour today, and i enjoyed it, felt good:upthumbs

lol at ricer excuse, jerk

@catbert- hope you find that perfect dealer for me thanks:boogie

Sorry, with all 51 cars I've owned, I've struggled with dealers not burdened by perfection. You're on your own.

If someone has opinion that says "ricer excuse"....that only says you prefer smaller cars.....it does not say "jerk"....no need to say someone is a jerk for stating their opinion as you did previously and nobody called you a jerk.....remember that this site is dedicated to Corvette fans/owners/enthusiasts. I can tell you that it is NOT usual to read that someone buys a new Vette and then says it does not make them happy....definitely abnormal....all I'm trying to say.....maybe there is another site dedicated to the vheicle that trips your trigger and you can go there and state how you really feel towards Corvette. We here are Vette fans......not a bunch of jerks who defend OUR cars......take care

:thumbs maybe next time tell us how you really feel!!!!

i feel like...i shouldve bought a '11 gt500 :chuckle instead of being cheap and getting a 1lt vette

What's wrong w/ 1LT Vettes???? Not as much junk on them to break and carry around....there's not much difference other than heated seats is there? And those who live in the North/East usually have their Cars parked in Winter, so who needs heated seats??? Not real familiar w/options list....the base Vette is well equiped....has 'standard' stuff on it that most others are optioned.....

A Mustang with stripes is an improvement? I'm not sure a Ford dealership and it's network would view it as anything more and treat it as such. :L

OK boys and girls this has gotten as far off the "road feel" topic as it needs to be. When the subject turns to Mustangs, it's time to take this to another venue. Thank you for your comments to this point.
