Does anyone know of a “sourcing directory” that tells the name and contact info for suppliers of particular Corvette parts. In other words, who really makes the calipers, rotors, carpets, gaskets, light bulbs, fasteners, etc. that all of the major vendors sell through their catalogs and do these sources sell their products directly?

I ordered some parts from one catalog that were actually shipped from another vendor with the second vendor's label. I could have saved time (and maybe money) if I had gone straight to the source first.

Also, I know that Corvette shops usually know the best source for parts in terms of quality, price and availability, but it's hard for non-professionals to figure this out, except via trial and error. If one source's $200 brake rotors are the same as another source's $250 rotors, it would be great to know.

If nobody publishes this - yet - remember that you heard it here first. If enough people think this would be worthwhile, perhaps we can find someone to take on the task.

Did you ever get any responses to your request? I have often wondered the same.....

I had to learn it by trial and error.Going straight to the source doesnt always mean cheaper. For instance,Corvette America is the main manufacturer of interior parts but The Last Detail sells CAs parts cheaper than they do themselves and it comes drop shipped straight from Corvette America.
Suspension parts and trim parts are the same way.I have found rather than to use multiple suppliers its better to deal with less. The only time I will go straight to the manufacturer is if I am buying something that may need some technical assistance in the installation.Hope this helps.

Thanks! I apprciate the input. Plus - I will check out those two companies that you named!
