Corvettes improved from their qualifying positions to finish 2nd and 3rd at Lime Rock. The race finished under caution with the vettes in hot pursuit of the Flying Lizard winner. The morning was very hot and humid and it looked like rain was on the way. The teams prepared rain tires but, the rain didn't arrive and clouds lowered the temperature and hid the sun. The weather turned out to be very nice. There were about 300 Corvettes in attendance. While a win would have been good Corvette had its best finish at Lime Rock since 2008 and continues to lead this year's series. Not a bad result at this track where pole postions are so important and passing is difficult with few opportunities. One of the BMW's completed most of the race without its hood. Another one spun out and was lucky to avoid a bad crash. Don't know what has become of the Jags and Astons they were absent for the race. Lime Rock is a great venue for Covette fans. If you have not been it is worth a trip. Besides the race it is a nice drive for those within a reasonable distance. Take no prisoners in the next race.
