I know this is a really stupid question, but I'm just trying to pin point any other areas that might be causing my poor performance before I replace or rebuild everything under my hood. Some one told me to check my vave springs for brakage,I suppose that sounds possible.
Does anyone else agree w/ that??
I just figure if its not my cabs, not my plugs, not my fuel system, than its got to be my distributor system..RITE ???
Anyway, any other suggestions would be appreciated..

With spring coming soon I would like to get on the road asap..
Yhanks all,Jim

Hello
A broken valve spring will cause poor performance. What was the symptons of the engine before?
Sorry if I missed this from a previous post
take care
Tom

You might try doing a compression check, A broken helper spring caused about a 50% drop in compression on one cylinder on one of my dads cars, was acting like a miss on an engine anylizer.

Absolutly...How do you feel when you are only firing on seven cylinders?...maybe thats a question for the SO...;) ...:L

Big blocks are noted for valve spring breakage, pull the plugs and see if any are wet, if so, it is`about a 20 minute fix.
