I found this interesting. Look at the car picture on the upper right corner of this page. A GM 2 seater, looks like a rear transaxle, manifold looks kind of like LS?, could that be crossed flags on the front. Obviously not the final thing but I wonder how far back in the design process this was for the c6(or caddy I suppose).
Maybe I'm just getting to hyped about seeing the real thing in the near future.

If that is close to an accurate depiction, wouldn't that be very premature and risky to put a graphic like that in the article?

I mean, I agree with montanabob, some details are there, but.....

Just a question. ;shrug

OK Photoshoppers Get going! Think JuJube on the bottom opening!

Are you saing there are similarities to this concept, or are you saying this is the C6? Of course, I'm talking about your opinion of what you think it should look like.:t

Im saying thats an engineering diagram of C6 Period!

Black Ice, let me ask a couple more questions if I may......

After looking at the diagram I notice a few details.

1.) C3 inspired side view mirrors (68-72)
2.) Rise in middle of hood, like cowl induction
3.) Exhaust route and exit like C5
4.) Side vents with possibly 3 slits
5.) Hood pattern cut-out similar to the C5
6.) What about the rear end of the car, early C3 amenities?

Sorry for all of the questions. The above are just my observations concerning montanabobs attachment.

Hmmmmm....I'm not sure I care for the rear-end design on the pic above, but I really like the front.

Honestly, the first thing I thought of when I saw that thumbnail in the article was Maserati. The front of that see through drawing looks very much like the front end of a new Maserati.

The small pic and the big pic are not the same car. The small pic is C6. The large oval headlights are supposed to hark back to the 1953. The lower front end cowl is supposed to give a C5R look. The rear is more like the Road and Track cars but not exactly.

The car in BigDaddy's post (large pic) looks really, really good. I agree with Rob though, the rear needs work. But otherwise, it is killer. From the rear wheels forward, it has a C3 influence. (Which I like).

Nope not really maybe the back a little, Take a look at the dash shape its the best part of the car I think. The Pontiac Solstace was not a Pontiac at all but a C6 design Schill to get opinions on the "General Shape" of the car.

What a relief. That MT rendering is just ugly. Sounds like we have a good looking C6!!

Now, who knows what the HP & torque are?

Well, I do have to disagree on this. It appears to be a Shelby series II, not a C6.

Check the following link. I found a little larger copy of the engineering drawing in an automotive engineering magazine and then used a 1/18 scale Shelby at roughly the same angle for comparison.

Note the dash, seats, oval emblem on the nose, fuel filler, side scoops and side mirrors. They all match. Exactly. In fact everything on the 1/18 car matches the drawing.

C6 / Shelby

That drawing is definitely Shelby. good post Pinstripe!

Nope sorry guys. This is not a C6. It's a Shelby right down to the dash.

I don't think it is a C6. The curve of the dash, and all else is Shelby Series I (not Cobra), but you be the judge.
