I don't think it is a C6. The curve of the dash, and all else is Shelby Series I (not Cobra), but you be the judge.

Yep, looks like a Shelby to me. The dash curve is identical.

Im not sure what it is but the C6 front end is exactly like that pic with flat oval headlights but with Jujubees lower grill its C6 to a "T"

In a simple answer to the question of the thread... NO

The shape of those headlights looks pretty close to what could be under the depressions in tht cammo of the pics of the black car in NM. Thank God they are not tack-on-square. Notice the completely different hood line (Engineering Drawing vs NM car).

Phew! What a relief!!!

I don't know about you lot. But I am glad that it is NOT the new C6 Corvette!!!

I think that round front lights would look crap on the C6. It needs to have angular aggressive looking lights. Round lights look to cute!

We need angular, aggressive lights with projector style lenses inside. Please GM, don't make the C6 look soft!!!!

Cheers

Look at the latest shots of the black NM car. The top and the front shots strongly suggest an oval cavity for the headlights. Someone on this site stated that he had seen the front at the factory and that the headlights are supposed to remind us of the '53. A verticle oval could house three of any kind of hi-tech light that you would desire.

;stupid I want the Jujubee lights. I don't like soft and what played well in 1953 just doesn't get it now!

I hear you Rocketblock, but I think those were the headlights that Lutz killed because of the resemblance to the '03 viper. Maybe the tiger shark lower opening is there (if it's there) to provide the harder, more aggressive edge (?).

The lights are an oval bubble shape with inner elements. The lights were fashioned after the "Look" of the 1953s. The front vent is not exactly like Jujubees but he again has the general styling"idea". The front bumper is also not "rounded" like in the C5 but more angular. Think of it as a C5 with the edge of Cadillac XLR. Same with the rear. Also the rear has some styling from the SS show car that almost has the same front fenders as C6. The front overhang is very short. The Beta cars seen have pieces of foam under the bras to elongate/distort the look same with the rear.

I found this out there...

" ... had lunch yesterday with a friend of mine who ownes a Chevrolet dealership in Southern California. He was one of a few select dealers in the U.S. that were invited to a private showing of the car. In his words, the car is drop dead gorgeous. The front of the C6 is very Ferrari like, with the overall car very close to a couple of pictures that have been on various web sites.
He said as far as HP is concerned, the base car will be 405, along with a option of 425HP, and a year later a Z06 of 485 to 500HP. In his opinion, the interior has been just slightly improved over the current C5."

Following was this post from another member ...

"... just heard the same thing from a dealer that saw the C6 last week in California - front end very Ferrari-like. He said the back end looks like it had 5 inches cut off and was moved up. Headlights are non-retractable with 3 lights per side.
Horsepower is 405 for coupe and convertible. Z06 not available first year."
