Did you get these from the internet archive from Callaway's website? The ads look familiar.

For fun....

I don't know which C8 is the first one you quoted. There are more silver C8s than any other color... but it might be this one:

#2 is this one I believe, though I don't know what issue of Road & Track it is in:

#3 is Anthony's car as far as I know, though I've never seen his interior:

#4 is almost definitely the teal one you and I both like Chris. It's such a shame the current owner isn't a member here. He'd never write me back when I'd email him either ;shrug:

C8's

Yes, the third one is mine, but the add was a little confusing, and has caused some debate with owners of other C8's. It is doccumented as the first COMPLETE C8 sold to the public, meaning it was ordered new and sent to Callaway for all of the modifications at once. It was ordered by a good freind of Reeves'. Other cars have been built before, but they were either started, or completed in stages. The first car I beleive, had just the body, and the engine was added later. That is also why it does not show any tailpipes in the pictures.

Incidentally, all of the cars I have were new zero mile delivery (actually, the red Ttop C8 was driven from Berger Chevrolet) cars that had all of their mods done at one time. I considered taking the non Aerobody cars back, but I kind of like them the way they left Old Lyme originally.

The 1994 red Vert now sits next to a 1995 red C8 Ttop with the same Brembos, Run Flats, Suspension, Woodgrain interior accents(not my favorite), A4(also not my fav), and Leather interior.

The car was listed as a custom interior, but it is not. It is the stock grey seat with the red centers in them. I luckily found a NOS set of interior covers if I ever need to replace them in the future.

I will try to get a pic with all 5 of them together. The count is now 3 C8's, and 2 stock bodies. I think I've got enough....

Cool, I'd really like to see them all together. Also, let me know about that broken bumper. I replied to your PM several weeks ago, but never heard a response.

I'm glad you're starting to believe you have enough of them! :L I've been nervous that you'd snatch up the C8 (minus SNAT) that I've been saving up for. It's a real shame that that particular car I'm speaking of doesn't have the brembo brakes (something I'd really like), but I'm under the impression that I can still order them from Brembo by the time I get the car... Hope I'm right.

Tony, did you buy this car from a guy in Texas?

FR-high.jpg

Yes, I purchased it from the second owner. Both the first and second owners were good freinds of Reeves, and they knew each other very closely. The car spent time in Florida for some time, but was brought back to Texas, which is where I got it.

It has some great doccumentation, with interesting correspondence between the first owner and Callaway regarding delays, scheduling, and the progress of the AeroBody.

It was also the car featured in Sports Car International November 04 issue. I have the issue number, and about 20 copies at home if anyone is interested in it. (Brangeta) Actually, shoot me your address and I will send you a copy since you love C8s so much.

Regards,
Anthony

The guy that originally owned your C8 convertible, originally owned my Ruby SNAT:w

Thanks for rescuing another one from Texas :beer
