Couple of Pics from a Show Today

Barry,
Your car will blow mine away any time. I was told yesterday a 327/300 with Powerglide is a "dog"? Makes you want to stay away from shows. Particularly as the comment came when I had an urge. And a need. I almost expressed the need. Left leg up.......

OK that's gross. My apologies to those who bite their tongues, and hold their bladders, when displaying their toys.

Thanks Paul, I'll keep that in mind when I go shopping for a camera.

Don't let those people get to you because most of them don't even own a Corvette, let alone one as nice as yours!

Once many years ago at the Pomona Corvette Meet someone told me real Corvettes don't have A/C! I just asked him what kind of Vette he owned and he replied "I don't have one"!! Oh well don't let it bother you.

Paul, don't let comments like that get to you, it's just jealously. to add to 67's story, my wife and I were at a show last year with Baby when a guy in a really nice '71 'vert parked next to us. I admired his car (it was in Steel City gray - one of my favorite C3 colors) than he looked at Baby and sneered and told us only convertibles are real sports cars.
yeah, ok, whatever.........

and I meant what I said about your car. When Baby gets back home I may have to PM you regarding any tips or hints that will help my engine compartment looks as good as yours

The year 1967 was Canada's 100th anniversary and for those who are a little long in the tooth like me the World's Fair (Expo '67) was held in Montreal that year.
I was a little kid back then and went with my parents to see Expo 67.....I remember it......also went in the late 70's to the Summer Olympics.....was a lot of fun.......thanks for reminding me of memories....

Car shows verse car cruises,

I have said it before I dont enjoy car shows any more, I used to love them. The only shows I go to now a vette shows. In our area there is a car cruise just about every night of the week.

At car shows Its normal to have the NON collector car owner going thru the show to kill an afternoon with 2to 4 misbehaved, dirty sticky handed kids touching every thing they shouldnt.A wife with and oversized baby carraige trying to squeeze thru places she shouldnt, and an arogent man telleing every one what they have done wrong on there cars.

At car cruises it seems to be just a bunch of car people admiring each otheres cars and hard work,And the majority of the kids present come from collector car or hot rod homes and know NOT to touch or lean on any thing.

Soon my kids will be out of school for the summer and I will be able to start going to the local car cruises. I will also start taking some photos to share with you guys

I agree, yes sir! :upthumbs

It was a cruise day, not really a show event. The people were well behaved despite the comments I mentioned earlier. I do not do formal shows.

the 67 will always have a spot in my heart.

I have to agree the 67 Sting Ray is a great second hand car.

"But it's got a big Block Hood on it" ............ oops......... they broke the mould part way through 67 production and then they all got that hood.

Or so I'm told.

Bob
