Where is the silly delay module?????

My dome light is mis behaving and not shutting off 30 seconds after I close the door like it did before. I would really like to go to work without a dead battery! I know I could pull bulbs but I would rather locate the problem.

The delay is in the right rear storage compartment.

the delay on my 80 is under the drivers side dast, about halfway up on the right side in the fuse box

Is it in override mode? Or, do you have the headlight switch clicked on? I don't know if Corvettes have this switch, but some cars do, and if you accidentally turn it too far, the dome lights go on.

I have an 81 and just replaced the delay module.

It is a little orange box behind and on the right side of the glove box.

Take the glovebox insert out, and the module will be on the right.

They are expensive, but it drove me crazy trying to fix it!

Good Luck

Unless Chevy relocated the timer delay for the interior lights from the 79 to the 81, then Guitarattack is absolutely correct on it's location and removal.
