I am in the process of having my 79 repainted. We are having an issue with the new paint cracking, in the roof, between the T-top and rear window. Primer and paint go on well with no issues, the 24-36 hours later the paint cracks. Any thoughts on the cause. Cracked paint.jpg Thanks in advance fro your thoughts, you may be saving what little hair I still have.

Can you stick a knife blade in the edge of the crack and peel it off? It looks to be an adhesion problem. Might be incompatible primer/ sealer/top coat. Are you using recommended products from the same manufacturer and product system? Was each product and coat allowed to flash or cure according to manufacturer's recommendations before the next coat was applied? What was the temperature in the paint booth? I know these are a lot of questions but I've never had that happen before.
I almost suspect that the top coat cured at a faster rate than the base which wasn't fully dry/cured before over-coated.
