My 90 Corvette is puking a little oil out the Dip stick ! I've did a Compression check /140 to 170/New Did stick/new PVC/ It runs Perfect/No fouled Spark plugs but its trying to push the PVC & the hose out on the other valve Cover ! PVC is sucking no problem but something is causeing internal pressure & a little oil coming out on to the Exhaust ! Burnning Clean ! Couldn't run any better ! Can anyone help Please ?

Is the oil a milky color? If so check the radiator to be sure that the fluid level is up to the top. It could have a leak between a water and an oil passage with the water being under forced into the crank causing it to have to get rid of the overfill through the dip stick hole. This would account for it running strong because it still has compression.

Its right on Full & the water is Perfect ! I see no Problems but it building Pressure ! New oil, Everything looks Great ! I've been working on Chevys for 50 years & i am Stumped !

Excessive crankcase pressure.
Dip stick and PCV valve pushing out.
Oil out the exhaust
Low compression in one or more cylinders

All points to combustion pressure entering the crankcase. Look for a failed head gasket, broken oil ring or a cracked piston, but there is one issue about this thread which confuses me....

(snip)It runs Perfect(snip)Couldn't run any better

If the compression on one or more cylinders is 30 lbs low, the engine is blowing oil from the PCV valve, the dip stick and the exhaust, how is it running "perfect" and "Couldn't run any better."

Very perplexing post.:confused

make sure the the port where the PVC hooks into isn't restriced. Also make sure your
exhaust isn't restriced . Is the engine running a little warm?

Scav.

Its not coming out the Exhaust ,it coming out the Dipstick & theres no water in the oil either ! Its dripping on the exhaust ! Its running perfectly cool & perfect/not missing at all/ no plugs fouled at all !

Lets go out on a limb. Suppose that when you did the last oil change and filter the filter was defective and blocked the oil from going into it. That would mean that if you put 5 qt of oil in and it did not lose the amount the filter holds then the crankcase is in an over fill condition. This might be enough to cause the crank and rods to fling oil up the dipstick tube. This may seem a little far fetched but sometimes when I get out of the box I can't control myself.:happyanim::chuckle

Morning, I put a new filter on & 5 qts of oil total ! is it posible i have the wrong filter / they give me a Fram F2 ?

How many miles on the car?
Has it been setting any length of time?
Maybe it has stuck compression rings on a few pistons!;shrug

If you go to the Fram site I had in my last post and put in the filter number PH2 it will give you a list of specifications. At the bottom of the list it shows a relief valve set at 12. Do the same search and you will see that the ph30 does not have a relief valve. I think you are close to the solution to your problem. There also is a list of applications that the filters are used in. Good Luck and let use know if this fixes the problem.

I'll check that out now John Thank You Very Much & i will let you know how it Goes !
