Crankshaft dampener

I am the original owner of a 2000 C5 coupe. Car now has 67K miles. I was worried about the infamous crankshaft dampener. Any suggestions from owners who have done this work. I normally won't let anyone touch my baby, but I might need some help on this.

I believe that this requires either lifting the engine so the dampner can clear the rack or the rack must be removed. Me? I would take it to a shop that has experience in this or have some help from someone if you aren't sure you can do it.
