Cross Fire vacuum lines capped

Today, I installed new plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor along with new valve cover gaskets.

While I had the intake cover off, I noticed that there were 2 vacuum lines coming off the back side of the throttle bodies. 1 for each side. Someone has capped them off in the past. Just cut the lines and plugged them with screws.

The car seems to run fine. It does sound like it has a cam in it though when idling.

I plan to take it to a dealer and have them do an inspection of the entire vehicle as soon as I can....just for peace of mind.

I have noticed a squeak?? in the suspension coming from under the drivers side. Not bad, just a rattle or slight squeak.

Thanks in advance to any help or advice.....

Those vacuum lines may have gone to the air filter housing to activate the doors where it sucks in air from the hood. They should be hooked up.

No...that isn't the lines. The vacuum lines for those are hooked into a "T" fitting in front of the distributor.

Looking at Jons diagram the line I was thnking about went to the driver side of the air cleaner. I know in order to disconnect the lower part of the air cleaner that this line on the back of the rear TB has to come off. Never noitced where it went though.

Thanks jon. I will have to take the air cleaner back off later and see just which lines are capped.

Well, I just pulled off the air cleaner and base. There are 3 vacuum lines coming off the bottom of each TB. The 2 shown in jon's diagram are connected. The 3rd line is the one capped off.

I have no clue.

The front tb will attach to the EGR solenoid and the rear tb will attach to the air cleaner for the flaps in the snorkle. There should also be one on each that is capped off. Those are for balancing the tb's with a manometer.
