Cruise Control Problem

I'm the owner of my first Corvette - A 1986 C4 which I love.
The car has been well cared for and nearly everything works.
I do however have a problem with the Cruise Control. It doesn't work !!
The fuse is ok - Can anyone advise what I should be checking next ??

check the vacuum hoses that are connected to the cruise control vacuum valve. it is located right above your battery. if one of those lines are bad then you will have no vacuum going to the valve to pull the cable going to your throttle body.
