got a 97 coupe. the cruise control button works intermittently. seems like the button is the problem. any one know how to fix it or replace the button thats on the end of the head lamp selector?thanks!

It would be my guess that the whole control stalk is serviced as a unit. Probably can't replace only the cruise control engage/decelerate button.

You might have an intermittent short.

Brake switch adjustment

Hi there,
I would suggest that you check on your brake switch adjustment first. This should be your first course of action, based on the amount that come out of adjustment, I would do this first.
It only take a few minutes, and is usually the issue.

brake switch

I had that same problem. I figured it out when I pulled up on the brake pedal with my foot and the problem went away. What brought it to my attention in the first place is the fact that the torque converter will not lock up if the brake pedal is sensed as being depressed.
