My 1980 Corvette speedometer is not working. I removed the cc transducer and it looks like the top cable connection has a plastic insert which looks to be rounded out. After additional investigation, it looks like it is part of the top gear. If I spin the bottom gear it moves the top insert, seems normal. My question is does anyone sell the gear? How does the cable from the transmission come out, from the bottom? In addition, is there anything else that could be the problem?
