I will try to explain what I need. The connector on top of the trsnsducer has a missing wire, there is a place for three wires and I only have two, is a wire missing or does some just have 2,I think I have a missing wire but the assembly manual is'nt real clear on this. Also does it have vss wire? This is one of the simple problem's I have had but I just can;t get it together on this one.I sure appreciate you guy's and gal's help. Thank's alot. OH it is a 82 clollector.

Moving from the Introductions forum to the C3 Tech forum.........

The 3 wire will work for the 2 wire....the extra connector is for 'Resume' used on some models.

Sorry I can't help fwsports, but I've been forgetting to post questions about my cruise for a long time and since your post has the right title I thought I'd just if anyone knows the best and quickest way to trouble shoot a non-functioning cruise control system on a '79 with all the options and as far as I know all the electrical is still stock... at least the distributor and gauges seem to be. I really don't know anything about these early generation cruise systems, so anything you guys know would be of great assisstance.

Thanks
Jon

That is one ugly, awesome page of links you've given me there. Those are great links! I need to do more research on my own before I could even use that diagram though. For instance.. I don't know where to even look for the transducer or servo. The guy before me had an alarm put in and there is some stuff under the driver side dash that I'm pretty sure isn't original, but I've never taken it apart so I don't know what's in there. Thanks for the head start. Let me know if you here anything for certain about the '79 system. Thanks alot.

Transducer is easy. On the driver's side you sill see the speedo cable come out of the firewall. It goes into the tranducer and back out to the transmission. Once you find that it becomes easy to follow the vacuum lines.

Thanks for the positive feedback on the site.
