crunch shifting 3 - 4

I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and how to solve it.
When I shift from 3rd to 4th at WOT above 6K RPM Its hard to go into 4th gear and results in a crunch/grinding. Even If I shift slowly!!.
- It doesnt do it under 6K.
- It doesnt do it in any other gear.
Are we talking syncros???

Whats the dif?? I do about a little over 100mph, stock gearing.

VAI - I was just trying to visualize the manuver particularly if you were performing it on the street. It must be a real crowd pleaser.

And yes - you are talking syncros. Addionally, if you continue to make these rather dramatic shifts you can plan on regular servicing of your transmission. :L
