Custom sticker package??...

I've looked at pictures of other '81 vettes and have not seen yet any of the "graphics" that are on mine. Mine ? I bought .. all original...paint, engine, interior, exterior, 26,339 original miles...but it also came with not only the original car cover w/emblem on it (and seat covers), but CORVETTE on both driver's and passenger's side of the car PLUS on the hood (cowl sticker?)..also has between the two-tone the 2 silver gray tones of pin striping...Anyone else??

car covers are purchased aftermarket thru corvette central,or mid america,ecklers usually one of the suppliers...as for the corvette emblems on both sides of the car and the hood...somebody had to of put them there.they aren't factory.as for the pinstipping...i dont know

I, evidently, did not make myself clear. Only the cowl (Outline) graphics on the hood. Corvette on the sides. When I purchased the vette last autumn, I was told by the seller (best friend of the original, deceased owner) that the car cover was bought at the same time as the vette when the vette was originally purchased. Vehicle has only 26339 original miles...always been garaged (heated garages such as mine is) and no cracks etc in the interior. All original....NO reproductions, NO renovations, ALL original. Including exterior. My question is: Is this something that was an option back then? Only for special orders? >>?

not to my knowledge,nor do I find anything about it in the NCRS book.

Sounds like the original owner was pinstripe and sticker crazy...blackbook shows not "special options" from the factory. Dealer option maybe to move cars..I know in late 81' dealers started outfitting some of the last 81's with the "rear hatch" that the 82's were coming out with stock..again..dealer motivated.
