My 72 sat in the garage most of the winter and when I rolled her out several weeks ago, the brakes were weak. No problem, I'm thinking; I'll just bleed them. Well, I did. Front was fine, but I could get no fluid out of the back and the pedal was firm. The front brakes would lock up, but no back brakes. I found that the back flexible lines were stopped up with goo. I replaced the lines and decided to flush the entire system. Upon closer inspection, I found the m/c was filthy and removed it and cleaned it with solvent. I also replaced a leaking LR caliper. I bench bled the m/c, reinstalled it, bled all the lines and you guessed it...no pedal! I have bled them every way imaginable including pressure bleeding. Under pressure there appears to be no leaks, but I cannot get any pedal at all. Did I ruin the m/c when I used the spray solvent to flush it out? What is the deal?

Help!

I replaced the m/c and that fixed the problem. Firm Pedal!
