The build date on the trim tag says C20 for a 1970, the engine code is V0511ctk does that make sense? The block code means Flint May 5th, the assembly code means somewhere in the fall correct. The vin says the car was the 15929 car made so it would have been made late in the year correct? Help I am getting confused by the numbers again!!!!

Thanks for the quick response, its not my 71!! Could the trim tag be a G by chance?

Get out your glasses or a magnifing eyepiece and keep your fingers crossed.

If your trim tag is dated G20 it means July 20 and that coincides with the build date in production records. It also means that an engine date of May is a little early but acceptable. If that is the case you have a nice original engine numbers matching 1970 LT!.
