Picture this a huge room filled with press, and the media the excitement building...... The lights finally come on and the Pres. of Chevrolet says his little marketing schpeel. The curtain goes up to show a C6 with a Big cover over it and the excitement builds even MORE. Then after the marketing wanks say there propaganda the Guest of honer arrives CHER!! in a skimpy outfit in Torch Red to match the C6 on stage, Every one goes WILD she waves her arm at the C6 and the cover SLOWLY raises as the Music starts the cover starts coming up oooohs and ahhhhs can start to be heard but before the cover is all the way off and CHER starts to sing her song HALF BREED (This song is for the GM lawyers so people dont think its an exclusive platform anymore) Good don't ya think??? I mean your intention wouldn't be to fool any one into thinking otherwise right? .........:L But Wait... I'll give you this idea FREE!!! I just want to be there to see it!! :booty

Will you please get over the Caddie. We are talking about the C6 Corvette. Maybe you have heard about it. Who cares if it shares a frame with the Caddie. You have got to be the most negitive person here. Get a life.:r :r :bash :bash

Well said Rick!

Sometimes the negativity gets old & tired. Give it a rest. We all know your opinion of the C6; don't buy one!

:eyerole Why is it that you always come on the forum, say your negative crap then sit back and wait for people to get upset with you?:confused Seems to me that YOU are the one who needs to get a life. And it's ALWAYS "Have a sense of humor":SLAP Although I do not own this forum it seems to me that YOU are still on "probation here" I will leave the rest up to Rob, but I think the vast majority of others here will agree with me.:CAC :w

No one forces you to read or respond to my posts. I agree its an emotional issue indeed.

Guys lets get real here. You know as well as I do that you will be very lucky indeed to find a dealer anywhere in the country to offer discounts on the 05 model. After 3 years of $5000.00 to $6000.00 discounts on the C5 the C6 will be the dealers chance to make a little more profit for a change. Remember the 1997 model?

That'll be fine. The dealers around here will start off way over list for the '05's. Some (many) folks will actually buy them at marked-up prices, so they can have the first ones in town.

I will not be in their ranks. The I cannot see spending over list for an expensive car that I already have a hard time affording. I knew you wouldn't be discounting, I was just fibbing around.

I'll wait...

YOU HOPE!! Please remember my friend this is NOT the same economy as in 1997.

Don't you just love GREEDY DEALER syndrome! They live to fleece new model year Corvette buyers!

Businesses are entitled to make a profit. MSRP on a new evolution of Corvette is more than fair.

Good luck Ric as the C6 should be all that the C5 is and more.

Great car that I am sure will just keep getting better.

Lets see in 1997 people were making up to 30% interest on there investments the C5 was $37K and all was good. Now people are lucky if they still have 30% of there investments left that they had in 1997, ... and the C6 will be pushing $60K..... I think the Chevy Dealers are going to be very shocked to find out C6 sales not to be as brisk as they were in 1997. Its a Bush world out there now folks and it aint pretty!

Your comments are no longer worth my time to respond too. I feel sorry for someone you lives their life with such a jaded opinion of the world. :(

Let me see if I can explain this so everyone here Understands...

Guidelines for the Corvette Action Center
Item #1:
Flaming...
Or verbal bashing of individual members and/or other automotive manufacturers, parts suppliers/vendors, and repair/restoration facilities is STRICTLY prohibited. If a member posts a flame in a forum or is reported to have done so in a private message, further investigation will commence and appropriate action will be taken resulting in any or all of the following: a warning, post/thread deletion, thread locking, or possible suspension and permanent banning from the Forums if the flaming persists.

Just to clarify FLAMING:
Or verbal bashing of individual members and/or other automotive manufacturers, parts suppliers/vendors, and repair/restoration facilities.

Members come to CAC for many reasons:
  • General Information
  • Technical Information
  • Provide either of the above
  • Meet fellow Corvette owners
  • Discuss Corvettes
  • For Entertainment
  • Buy or Sell items
  • Looking for event information
  • Share stories
  • and many other reasons
What concerns me is when members seemingly go out of their way to personally attack each other... Oh it may seem harmless and it may well be. I have a tendency to read what is written and interpret it as it fits into the entire text.. Typed words are just that.. and CAN be used to insight or attack, they can also be point blank and left to the reader to digest and read into it their own emotions.

The Bottom Line here is we QUIT the personal attacks, be it directed at each other or through cute little digs directed through 2nd or 3rd party references..

SOMETIMES the best RESPONSE is NO RESPONSE!!!

Why let someone push your button... Why get involved in feeding someone else’s ego... Read, :eyerole :L and move on ;)
