Daytona 500 Pace Car

Any body notice the metal wing on the Daytona Pace Cars! They weren't on it for the twin 150's but they were for the 500!:ugh

What I did notice was that the pace car speed was 70 MPH. Maybe the pace car needed that wing for additional downforce at those blistering speeds!!!!

Heck, a pace car for the Indy 500 gets over 120 on the pace lap!

I noticed that the telemetry from the cars was shown on the screen. The speed that they were doing while following the pace car was 70MPH. I would have guessed more like 100 or 120, but that is what was shown on the TV. Next time they can use a Yugo.

i have been at daytona track since 2-9-05 and GM had 40+ C-6s there to transport the drivers to their cars plus a bunch of different styled pace cars.dodge had over 90 dodge trucks,all the same color,there on the speedway for the start of the dodge sponcered truck race.

What happens to all of those C6's that have been used? Are they sold as used cars at some dealership?
