;help Last night I tried to start my 2001 C5 and the car was dead. It only has 5500 miles on it. I manually turned the lights off and retried and it fired right up. Has anybody had the same problem?? The car is fine today but I am a little conserned, as the main computer has been replaced once under warranty already. Any body out there have any ideas??? Thanks

HI there,
There is too much to chance. I would need more specifics on this problem.
You could check the ignition switch. Maybe there is a contact problem.

I was out at night, the headlights opened and came on. I tried to start the car and it was dead. I turned the lights off at the switch and the car started. I tried the car last night and the everything is OK. I just it was just a glich in the system. God knows these computers are a pain in the neck.

Computers Suck

Yea the computers suck they make it so hard to do any work to any of the new cars unless you are a computer programmer. I especially hate that stupid sterringh column lock. Never though id be using my 66 Impala to follow a tow truck with my 9000 mile c5 vette. Oh well.

The battery is what ever the General installed in Bowling Green.

I replaced my delco with an optima. It's leak proof and is less prone to voltage loss when really cold.
