Vig-
I'm showing absolutely nothing listed under "FSF". I know you said no miss-read, but I did find 'SFS'. The codes jump from 'FM' to 'FY'. I take it you know what the rest of the code stands for?!

I have no IDEA

That's why I'm askin.. hopin the GURUS have some insight & wisdom.

Now this might help
Orange block ( looks like factory paint )
straight peanut plugs
the head casting has that has the tower with a 45 degree roof ( later smog style)

Where again is the casting # for the block?

Mike

OK, so here's the only info I can give you, minus the suffux: V1101: V=Flint, Mi. (manuf plant), 11=Nov (month), 01=1st (day). Check that stamping again. If it's painted, remve paint to read. Sometimes paint fills small areas of stamping.
Find the 'casting number' for the block on bell hsg flange, behind dist on left side.
Pull a valve cvr & get head casting no. also. It should be in relative center between a couple of rockers, and sometimes it's upside down.
Still searchin....-Dave

BTW

I used a wire brush to remove the paint..no decking of block..good fresh FACTORY stamps here.

Such an engima

Mike

Mike,

If you're lucky and the innards are clean you can read the driver side head casting # without removing the valve cover. I found this out by accident on mine - I just popped off the oil fill cap and used a maglite and a small mirror.

The next round

On the back top of the engine, by the distrib

On the sides of the block

Mike

Feild Service Factory

I'm pretty sure thats wrong...but I needed to flot the post back up to see if anyone else had a thought.
